    DESCRIPTION

In 1931 Federico García Lorca on the piano and La Argentinita singing recorded the compilation “Canciones populares antiguas”. In 1994, a new version of this collection of songs is presented. For this, Carmen Linares studied, fixed and felt these melodies, adding expressiveness, mainly flamenco, through rhythms and tones.

Carmen’s flamenco voice is full of shades and musicality and expresses Manuel de Falla’s and Federico García Lorca’s feelings: “be inspired by popular songs from several origins and lead this inspiration to create a noble and deeply Spanish art”. A unique album and a genuine tribute to the Andalusian folklore.
